WASHINGTON: United States (US) House Speaker Paul Ryan invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address a joint session of Congress on June 8, 2016 from 10:45—11:45am EDT.
In a statement Ryan called the US-India relationship "a pillar of stability in an important region of the world." "This address presents a special opportunity to hear from the elected leader of the world's most populous democracy on how our two nations can work together to promote our shared values and to increase prosperity."
Following the conclusion, many U.S. Congress members hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the joint session of the U.S. Congress at Capitol Hill, saying the bilateral relations between the two countries can only get better.
