The theme of the 80th Pearl Harbor Day Remembrance ceremony, “Valor, Sacrifice and Peace,” honors the legacy of the Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, Sailors and civilians who defended America in World War II, from the opening battle on December 7, 1941 until peace was secured on September 2, 1945. The 80th anniversary commemoration of the attack is a tribute to the courage, service and sacrifice of our Greatest Generation. The few remaining survivors represent the resilience and resolve of a generation that endured incredible sacrifices, changing America forever.
