Marine Corps Col. (Ret.) Douglas Hurley, commander of NASA's SpaceX Demo-2 mission, is scheduled to participate in a news conference with International Space Station Commander Chris Cassidy and fellow Demo-2 crewmate Bob Behnken aboard the International Space Station. The Demo-2 mission marks the first launch of Americans from the United States since 2011. As the final flight test for SpaceX, this mission validates the company’s crew transportation system, including the launch pad, rocket, spacecraft and operational capabilities. This also will be the first time NASA astronauts will test the spacecraft systems in orbit.
