Utah was commissioned in August of 01:22.879 --> 01:25.300 1911 on the same day as her whole 01:25.309 --> 01:28.860 number 31 she served with honor in the 01:28.870 --> 01:31.037 Atlantic during the first World War on 01:31.040 --> 01:34.569 both sides the battle , the flagship of 01:34.580 --> 01:37.870 Battleship Division One . Following the 01:37.879 --> 01:39.712 war , she conducted a variety of 01:39.712 --> 01:41.490 wartime readiness and peacetime 01:41.490 --> 01:43.657 missions on both sides of the Atlantic 01:43.657 --> 01:47.160 and South America . In 1931 she was 01:47.169 --> 01:49.559 converted to a target vessel where she 01:49.569 --> 01:52.160 helped train navy pilots as a realistic 01:52.169 --> 01:55.400 target for exercises involved involving 01:55.410 --> 01:59.080 carrier based aviation units .
