Green Berets assigned to 3rd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) practice a high-altitude high-opening military free fall jump to field test cold-weather equipment, communications gear, and layered clothing configurations in a true Arctic environment prior to the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center 26-02 rotation. The jump allowed Green Berets to assess how critical equipment and systems perform under extreme cold and high-altitude conditions. Conducting airborne operations in Arctic environments ensures Special Forces teams remain capable of infiltrating contested areas while maintaining mobility, communication, and combat effectiveness in some of the world’s harshest climates.
