U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning IIs, assigned to the 4th Fighter Squadron and 356th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, both deployed to Kadena Air Base, conduct aerial refueling with a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 909th Air Refueling Squadron over the Pacific Ocean near Kadena Air Base, Japan, Nov. 17, 2025. During the mission, the B-1B Lancers assigned to the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron integrated with Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2B fighter aircrafts and F-35As to conduct intercept, formation, and navigation training.
