U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Marine Air Control Group 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, participate in Marine Corps rifle qualification tables 3 and 5 during Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Syndalen, Finland, Nov. 7, 2025. The purpose of qualification Tables 3 and 5 is to assess and enhance a Marine’s ability to effectively engage targets at varying distances and under different conditions, ensuring proficiency in marksmanship, combat readiness, and adaptability in diverse operational environments. Freezing Winds is an annual Finnish-Navy-hosted multinational naval exercise conducted in the Gulf of Finland and the greater Northern Baltic Sea to test the U.S. Marine Corps’ ability to conduct logistics and sustainment in challenging Arctic littoral conditions through a series of tactical training maneuvers.
