Military police dog handlers with the 525th Military Working Dog Detachment (Vicenza), 18th Military Police Brigade, conduct a 5K memorial run with their MWDs in remembrance of U.S. Army 1st Lt. Derek Hines, fire support officer killed in action during a deployment as a member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade, and incorporate exercise as part of their new Canine Holistic Health and Fitness (K9H2F) program at Vicenza, Italy, Nov. 7, 2025. These exercises help the dogs operate safely, effectively, and for longer periods in support of U.S. Army missions across Europe and Africa. The K9H2F program enhances canine performance, longevity, and wellbeing through a science-based approach that mirrors the Soldier H2F program. (U.S. Army video by Cpl. James H. Robinson)
