U.S. Marines and Sailors with Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 25.3, Dutch Marines, Republic of Korea Marines, and Indonesian Armed Forces service members onboard the Republic of Indonesia Navy landing dock ship KRI Makassar (590) depart Jakarta, Indonesia, during Super Garuda Shield 25, Aug. 29, 2025. Super Garuda Shield is an annual exercise between the Indonesian National Armed Forces and U.S. Military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, and cooperation. MRF-D 25.3 is an annual six-month rotational deployment to enhance interoperability with the Australian Defence Force and provide a forward postured crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific.
