U.S. Airmen assigned to the 165th Civil Engineer Squadron, Georgia Air National Guard, support the construction of an affordable housing development on Oahu’s west side as part of an Innovation Readiness Training (IRT) mission in Wai'anae, Hawaii, June 30, 2025- July 11, 2025. The project aims to assist individuals transitioning out of houselessness while providing Airmen with hands-on training in mobilization, adaptability, and construction in austere environments. These Department of Defense IRT missions connect military units with real-world projects across the U.S. and its territories, enhancing mission readiness while serving underserved communities.(U.S. Air National Guard video by Senior Airman Christa Ross) (Music is released by Pixabay under the Content License, which makes it safe to use without asking for permission or giving credit to the artist - even for certain commercial purposes.)
