U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, and service members and leadership from the United States, Australia, Japan, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, and the Netherlands join together to conduct a Combined Joint Forcible Entry Operation rehearsal of concept drill as part of Talisman Sabre 25 aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), in the Coral Sea, July 21, 2025. The Combined Joint Forcible Entry Operation is a multinational distributed amphibious maneuver to seize and secure beachheads, including the conduct of bilateral beach support areas, ship-to-shore assault, air delivery operations, a rapid resupply point, and maritime strike and defense operations. Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key allies and partners, while enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns.
