U.S. service members, children from local preschools, and Okinawa residents gather for an Earth Day cleanup and tree-planting event at Nature Mirai in Kin Town, Okinawa, Japan, April 25, 2025. Marine Corps Installations Pacific coordinated a week of Earth Day events to reinforce relationships between U.S. service members and the Okinawa community, and to preserve Okinawa’s environment.
