    The great-grandchildren of Rear Adm. David W. Taylor—Michael Wise and Cathy Murray—visited Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, to explore the historic landmarks influenced by his groundbreaking work, June 11, 2024. The family toured the iconic David Taylor Model Basin, the Maneuvering and Seakeeping Basin, and more, gaining a deeper understanding of their great-grandfather's lasting impact on the Navy’s research and development. Highlights included viewing historical artifacts such as Rear Adm. Taylor’s desk and handwritten notes, and hearing from curators Dana Wegner and Jennifer Marland about his contributions.
