U.S. Soldiers and Airmen assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) perform a base defense exercise at Cooperative Security Location, Manda Bay, Kenya, Aug. 28-31, 2024. CJTF-HOA partnered with Kenya Defense Forces during the exercise to train on crisis response in diverse mission scenarios, including a downed aircraft and an indirect fire attack with simulated medical emergencies.
