HAGÅTÑA, Guam (July 21, 2024) — Military leaders, service members, veterans, and community members participate in the Guam Liberation Day Parade commemorating the island’s liberation during World War II.
The annual parade honors the bravery and sacrifice of the U.S. service members who liberated Guam in July 1944 and recognizes the resilience of the CHamoru people who endured nearly three years of occupation.
Guam Liberation Day marks the island’s return to freedom and celebrates the enduring partnership between Guam and the United States. (U.S. Navy photo by William J. Busby III)
