On April 3, 2024, at a change of command ceremony on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, presided by Gen. James Hecker, U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa Commander, Maj. Gen. Derek France relinquished command of the Third Air Force to Maj. Gen. Paul Moga.
