Marine Corps Base Hawaii Environmental Compliance and Protection Division staff and University of Hawaii at Manoa researchers band fledgling wedge-tailed shearwater birds at Nuupia Ponds Wildlife Management Area, MCBH, Oct. 27, 2023. Fledgling shearwaters were banded as part of a fallout study conducted to pinpoint areas where birds are getting injured or downed in order to implement appropriate preventative measures.
