"To my fellow Reserve Sailors, we are each uniquely connected by our shared experiences, our shared service, and our shared commitment to our country. For us this is far more than a day off from work. It's a solemn occasion, a day set aside for memories, reflection, prayer and to give thanks. A day in which we honor all Americans who've served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force and Coast Guard, in times of war and in times of peace. And we pay due respect to those Americans who've passed the torch of liberty from one generation to the next, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice."
