The U.S. Marine Corps hosts the 48th Marine Corps Marathon Press Conference at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, Oct. 27, 2023. MCM is the 6th largest marathon in the U.S. and the 9th largest marathon in the world, based on 2019 total finishers. Known as “The People’s Marathon,” there is no prize money for the top finishers; all runners were celebrated for their honor, courage, and commitment. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Caden Phillips)
