CANOVANAS, Puerto Rico, December 7, 2020 - The recovery process incorporates all sectors of our society. One of them is nonprofit organizations and their volunteers, who play a significant role that directly impacts communities. At FEMA, we have supported them in their work to help survivors rebuild their homes. In this video we show you how the nonprofit organization, St. Vincent de Paul, helped dozens of families in the communities of Valle Hills, Villa Hugo 1 and Villa Hugo 2 in Canóvanas rebuild their homes after Hurricane Maria. The testimony of its residents reaffirms the importance of volunteerism and the joint work of community entities and FEMA to assist disaster survivors.FEMA/Eduardo Martínez
