SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, November 25, 2020 - FEMA approves $1.5 million to the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. $367,000 of the funds are earmarked for risk mitigation measures to prevent similar damage in future disasters. FEMA allocated about $1.5 million to repair the facilities of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music due to damage caused by Hurricane Maria. The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music - Official Website is a symbol of the country's musical heritage and traditions. This institution is home to piano laboratories, a library, concert halls and an amphitheater. Along with its undergraduate academic offerings, composed of some 400 students, the Conservatory has the 100 x 35 Music and Preparatory School programs.
