CAROLINA, Puerto Rico,September 30, 2020 - In celebration of the 48th anniversary of the 3,000th hit by Puerto Rican star Roberto Clemente, FEMA announces the allocation of $9.5 million to repair the sports complex that bears his name in the Municipality of Carolina. The Roberto Clemente Municipal Sports Complex is comprised of several structures built between 1988 and 2009. These include a playground for children with functional and access diversity, the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum and the Sports Hall of Fame, among other facilities. After the reconstruction, it will be possible to resume programs that provide jobs for countless sports enthusiasts such as coaches and teachers, among other professionals.fema/Eduardo MartÃnez
