Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Commander Col. Tasha Lowery hosted the annual Bakers Creek Memorial Observance June 14 at the Bakers Creek Monument on the Myer campus. The observance honored 40 Americans – members of the Army Air Corps – who were victims of a single plane crash June 14, 1943, at Bakers Creek, near Mackay, Queensland, Australia, during World War II.
