The Iron Guardians of the Fort Stewart Soldier Recovery Unit and members of the fort Stewart/ Hunter Army Airfield community participated in the Salute to Life Walk/Run/Bike event at Donovan Field, Feb. 14. The event included a 1-mile walk; 5k run, and 10k bike ride. As Participants crossed the finish line Chad Ballance a member of the Salute to Life team helped register Soldiers and Family members for the National Bone Marrow Registry Program. The goal is to increase awareness of the need, and participation in the Bone Marrow Registry.
