DEFENDER 23 kicks off shortly but preparation and planning for the series of exercises that demonstrate U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s ability to aggregate U.S.-based combat power quickly to Eastern Europe began months ago. Watch this video of the 405th Army Field Support Brigade’s Benelux Battalion prepping and loading Army Prepositioned Stocks-2 float bridge system bays and transporters for a Multi-Role Bridge Company onto civilian transport trucks at the Zutendaal APS-2 worksite in Belgium May 4 bound for Mihail Kogălniceanu, Romania, where the APS-2 MRBC will be issued to a U.S.-based Army engineer bridge company and employed during the exercise for use by NATO forces.
