U.S. Marines with Maritime Special Purpose Force and Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), conduct Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques (HRST) Masters' course on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 29, 2022. HRST prepares Marines and for helicopter-borne insertion and extraction operations. It also certifies Marines as HRST Masters allowing them to oversee HRST operations with their respective units. The HRST Masters’ Course is one of several Expeditionary Operations Training Group (EOTG) taught courses that the Marines and Sailors of the MEU receive as they prepare to deploy next year.
