U.S. Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 269 fly the UH-1Y Venom and AH-1Z Viper near Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina, Aug. 9, 2022. HMLA-269 trained to increase proficiency in close-air support. HMLA-269 is a subordinate unit of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, the aviation combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
