U.S. Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to USS Arlington (LPD 24) execute a replenishment at sea (RAS) with USNS Leroy Grumman aboard Arlington, Dec. 11, 2021. RAS is one of a series of events tailored to real-life integration training for the Sailors and Marines aboard Arlington during Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (ARG-MEU EX). ARG-MEU EX is the second at-sea period in the MEU’s Predeployment Training Program; in which a join assessment of performance and recommendation is made for the MEU, signifying progress towards a deployment certification.
