The 142nd Wing at Portland Air National Guard Base, Oregon held a Wing Change of Command ceremony, Sunday, December 5, 2021. Col. David N. Unruh, who has served as the 142nd Wing commander since June of 2019, relinquished command of the wing to Col. Todd A. Hofford during this ceremony. This transfer of command is represented with the passing of the 142nd Wing guidon (flag) from the current commander to the next. Col. Hofford has been an Oregon Guardsman for 28 years, and most recently served as the director of staff for the Oregon National Guard.
