    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

U.S. Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer 2 Paul Faucheux, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer in charge with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), participates in an interview over the Munitions Optimization Workshop Demolition training on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 19, 2021. U.S. Marines train with specialists from U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM AC) and Expeditionary Systems Engineering Division (ESED), a Naval Surface Warfare Detachment from Fallbrook, CA, with Soldiers and Airmen to enhance ideas and tactics and improve inter-service relations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
