U.S. Marines with Alpha Battery, 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Platoon, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 363 (Reinforced), Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, conduct a dismounted to mounted M240B machine gun range at Kangaroo Flats Training Area, NT, Australia, July 8, 2021. The range consisted of training with an M240B machine gun mounted on a Humvee, honing the Marines’ ability to bound and fire from a static position. The MRF-D deployment ensures Marines enhance their ability to conduct expeditionary operations and prepares them to rapidly respond to a crisis or contingency in the Indo-Pacific region.
