Transfer of Authority ceremony between the outgoing Kosovo Force 28 (KFOR 28) and Kosovo Force 29 (KFOR 29) was conducted at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, July 11, 2021. Command of KFOR Regional Command-East was transferred from U.S. Army Col. Derek Adams, commander of the Iowa headquartered 2nd Brigade Combat team, 34th Infantry Division, to U.S. Army Col. Brey Hopkins, commander of the Vermont headquartered 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mountain).
