David Wilkerson, the Motorcycle Mentorship Program (MMP) representative for Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, explains what MMP is and what kind of training is involved, July 7, 2021. In 2008, the Marine Corps lost 25 Marines to motorcycle related accidents. As a result of such a high fatality rate, MMP was created to give Marines not only the training, but the knowledge to keep them safe while operating a motorcycle.
