U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Bruce Jones, the substance abuse control officer for Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, tells the story of his recovery from a nearly fatal 2020 motorcycle accident, in Okinawa, Japan, June 27, 2021. After six surgeries, seven fractures in his pelvis, a compound fracture in his arm, and ten months of rehab, doctors said he would be confined to a wheelchair for ten months and medically separated from the Marine Corps. One year later, he is on full duty and cites the power of positive thinking for his recovery. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Carla O)
