Cybersecurity and MBSE: Love at First Sight

An overview of NAVAIR’s methods and tools for modeling cybersecurity using Model-Based Systems Engineering. NAVAIR methods are presently in development with collaboration from leadership and modeling teams at OUSD R&E, OPNAV, NAVWAR, NIWC-LANT, NAVFAC, and NAVSEA, as well as multiple stakeholders from industry and academia. Discussion will cover scope of the model (including RMF compliance, cyber risk assessments from the model, and Program Protection Plans), secure and reusable modeling patterns, and planned future capabilities.
