PUTLOS, Germany (June 16, 2021) – During Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 2021, members of Marine Corps 4th Platoon Littoral Explosive Ordnance Neutralization (LEON) and Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 8 integrate for the first time in a NATO multi-national exercise using cutting-edge technology and experimental equipment to increase the effectiveness of mine countermeasures. The 50th BALTOPS represents a continuous, steady commitment to reinforcing interoperability in the Alliance and providing collective maritime security in the Baltic Sea.
