During the challenging COVID-19 pandemic, The Exchange deployed the following programs to support associates:
Communicated government directives affecting travel, PCS moves,
administrative leave, paid COVID and
sick leave, and Mobile Field Exchange
Supplemental Pay.
Communicated CDC and Department of
Defense agency guidance on preventive care, identifying COVID symptoms and
keeping the workplace safe.
Implementation of an enterprise-wide telework program, to enable 3000 associates to work from home. When facilities closed, associates supported operations in other locations. Through these efforts, the Exchange has avoided layoffs and furloughs during the pandemic. We’ve implemented Virtual Recruitment sessions, for potential new hires and virtual on-boarding for new associates.
The Exchange HR team continues to provide training, converting courses
to virtual learning, such as Stress
Management, and elements of Executive
Leadership Development Program,
Retail Management Academy,
Restaurant Operations Management Academy,
Emerging Leaders Academy Programs.
And the Leadership Development Program.
The Employee Assistance Program provides resources such as:
Financial Resilience,
How to Safeguard your
Mental Health and tips on reducing stress.
