The Indianapolis Army Recruiting Battalion hosted central Indiana educators and civic leaders at the SPC Luke P. Frist Army Reserve Center, Indianapolis, on Friday, June 11 to provide a first-hand look at local Army career opportunities and options.
The daylong orientation event provided an opportunity for participants to get a small glimpse into the life of U.S. Army Soldiers and to obtain a better understanding of the various careers and benefits available through the Army.
In addition to a series of round-table discussions and a facilities walk-through, educators engaged with local Army Reserve and active duty Soldiers, attended a Military working dog demonstration from the 69th Military Police Detachment out of Fort Carson, Colorado, and interacted with a Stinger Missile simulator from an air defense unit out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
