    Army Reserve Medical Command

In Belcourt, North Dakota, a team of Army Reserve Medical Command Soldiers are participating in an Innovative Readiness Training event. The Soldiers are augmenting the Quentin N Burdick Memorial Healthcare Facility on the Turtle Mountain Reservation, and partnering with the Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue, to expand community access to medical and veterinary care.

The Turtle Mountain community applied and was selected to participate in the Department of Defense program to support the tribal population of more than 14,000 Chippewa of the 72 square mile reservation.

Innovative Readiness Training events provide mission-essential training for Active, Guard, and Reserve support personnel and units, strengthen the bond between American Citizens and the U.S. Military and contribute to American prosperity by meeting public and civil-society needs.
