The XVIII Airborne Corps was first activated in 1942 in support of the United States entry into World War II. It is known for heavy involvement in Operation Market Garden, Battle of the Bulge, and Operation Varsity. Today, the Corps contains prestigious units like the 82nd Airborne Division, 3rd Infantry Division, 10th Mountain Division and 44th Medical Brigade. Since 1951, the Corps has been headquartered in Fort Bragg, N.C., the home of the Airborne and Special Operations. (U.S. Army video by Pfc. Jameson Harris/22nd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment)
