Watch this video on the #ACFT 3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL). This event represents movements required to safely and effectively lift heavy loads from the ground, jump, bound and tolerate landing. It requires well-conditioned back and leg muscles and helps Soldiers to avoid upper and lower back injuries caused by moving long distances under heavy load.

For more info on the MDL visit https://www.army.mil/acft/#event1

#MEDCoE Army-Baylor Doctor of Physical Therapy interns working with the JBSA Army Wellness Center, Commander’s Readiness and Resiliency Council (CR2C), and MEDVID TV created a series of ACFT field and classroom videos.
The ACFT field videos have been created to support the Fort Sam Houston AWC and their mission to promote injury prevention, performance optimization, and contribute to the readiness of our fighting force. These videos were created under the direction of the CR2C. The intended audience includes Army Physical Readiness Training (PRT) fitness leaders and individual Soldiers wishing to improve their ACFT performance or that of their unit.

During the filming process, care was taken to observe HPCON Charlie and HPCON Bravo + COVID protocols, including social distancing and the wearing of authorized face masks when social distancing was not possible. The filming also occurred outdoors to maximize available space and minimize risk of disease transmission. All Soldier-athletes can be seen wearing the appropriate Army PRT uniforms and are in compliance with Army grooming standards IAW AR 670-1.
The Army-Baylor Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is one of the programs under the MEDCoE Graduate School, 187th Medical Battalion, 32d Medical Brigade.
