Lt. Cmdr. Mill Etienne serves aboard the Military Sealift hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH) as a neurosurgeon and chair of the medical ethics committee. Etienne was born in Haiti and moved to the U.S. when he was five years old. Later, he pursued his medical degree from Yale University. During that time, the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, prompted him to join the Navy.
