    Between 1989 and 1990, the United States invaded Panama to overthrow the military dictator Manuel Noriega during 'Operation Just Cause.' Noriega, who was indicted in the United States on drug trafficking charges and accusations of rigging the democratically-elected 1989 presidential election.
