The VIPER Lab is a nearly $7M new facility located at the CCDC Army Research Laboratory’s Aberdeen Proving Ground location. The facility is designed to improve performance, operational capabilities and sustainment of current and next-generation Army vehicles, and is expected to become a primary research facility to advance the fundamental sciences in drivetrain technologies, specifically looking at power density and transmission density. These two key elements directly influence vehicle speed, range and payload.
