U.S. Air Force Col. Travolis Simmons takes command of the 3rd Wing from U.S. Air Force Col. Robert Davis during a change of command ceremony at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, July 17, 2020. The ceremony was officiated by Air Force Lt. Gen. David Krumm, commander, Alaskan Command, United States Northern Command; commander, Eleventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces; and commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, North American Aerospace Defense Command. The ceremony was adapted to comply with COVID-19 health and safety measures, and only family members were permitted to sit next to each other.
