U.S. Airmen assigned to Task Force 45 load three HC-130J Combat King II aircraft with rescue gear in support of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Human Space Flight May 26, 2020 at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla. Since 1958, the Department of Defense has provided operational resources to NASA for the recovery and retrieval of personnel and spacecraft equipment. Task Force 45 crews will be standing by ready to respond as NASA launches American astronauts on an American rocket from American soil to the International Space Station.
