Lt. Col. Marcus Wright, Observer Coach/Trainer assigned to the Warhog team, talks about how throughout the month of May, JMRC celebrates the culture, tradition, and history of Asian American and Pacific Islanders in the US Army. May was chosen for this commemoration because two important anniversaries are celebrated this month: the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants in America on May 7, 1843; and the completion of the transcontinental railroad by predominantly Chinese laborers on May 10, 1869.
