B-roll of Operation Christmas Drop, the longest-running humanitarian airlift operation in the world, delivering supplies to 68 remote Pacific Islands as it does every year in December. These remote islands have little to no outside contact and supplies other than what Operation Christmas Drop provides. Originally established in 1952. Andersen Air Force Base, Guam’s Naval base as well as the local community contribute to this cause by volunteering and working as a cohesive team. Scenes include volunteers boxing up donations, the ceremonial kick-off and loading of the first package onto the cargo plane, pallets being pushed out of the plane and parachuting to their destination and the pallets being retrieved from a beach and by a boat in the water. Produced by Air Force Staff Sgt. Derrick Spencer.
