During Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Airman 1st Class Trung Nguyen, 172d Security Forces Squadron and formerly of the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center, shared how his parents fled Vietnam's oppressive communist government to give their children a better life. Nguyen's father was captured by the North Vietnamese and imprisoned multiple times before managing to successfully escape. (U.S. National Guard video by A. Danielle Thomas)
