Medical Teams from the Massachusetts National Guard are conducting COVID-019 testing at medical facilities and homes for high risk populations.
An initial mobilization of eight teams will be strategically located across the Commonwealth to respond to requests for testing assistance from nursing homes. The size and number of personnel will be tailored to meet the evolving needs of the Commonwealth. The medics will conduct a COVID-19 test which will be sent to a testing lab. Expedient test results are an important element in stopping the further spread of COVID-19.
Homes and providers are identified by the Department of Health and Human Services for testing.
